Arshad Nuval Othman

Arshad Nuval Othman is the Head of Sustainable Finance at CIMB Islamic, responsible for driving sustainable finance initiatives and implementing sustainability practices. He joined CIMB Islamic in December 2019 as an Islamic Banking specialist for the Regional Financial Institutions Group, before transitioning to the Public Sector Group in July 2021, where he focused on Development Financial Institutions and Special Projects (including sustainability). Prior to CIMB Islamic, Arshad worked at HSBC Amanah and AFFIN Bank as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager, gaining experience in portfolios with large local corporates, multinational corporations, and government-linked companies. As the current Co-Chair of the Policy Subcommittee (ASEAN) for the Malaysia Carbon Market Association, Arshad participates in shaping the ASEAN carbon market ecosystem, engaging with stakeholders to promote market integrity and accessibility.
