Sheikh Esam Ishaq

Sheikh Esam Ishaq graduated from McGill University, Canada, and currently teaches Fiqh, Tafseer, and ( Aqeeda )Theology, courses in Islamic Centres supervised by the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs in Bahrain and serves as member of the High Council for Islamic Affairs, Government of Bahrain, Kindgdom of Bahrain. He is recognized as an emerging leader in the discipline of Islamic Finance. Sheikh Esam is also the chairman of Sharia Supervisory Boards for various Islamic banks include Seera Investment Bank – Bahrain, Investment Dar Bank – Bahrain, EcoIslamic Bank – Kyrgyztan and Family Bank for Micro Finance – Bahrain. As well as serving on the Sharia Panel of IIFM and the Vice Chairman of Governance and Ethics Board of AAOIFI, Sheikh Ishaq also serves on the Sharia Advisory Boards of a number of financial institutions including Al Baraka Islamic Bank – Bahrain, AlHilal Bank – UAE, ArCapita – Bahrain, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – UAE, Meezan Islamic Bank – Pakistan, and a number of Islamic banking and Takaful institutions. His other positions currently include Chairman of Muslim Education Society - Bahrain, Vice Chairman and Advisor of Discover Islam Centre – Bahrain.
