Dr. Hurriyah El Islamy

Dr. Hurriyah El Islamy is a distinguished Islamic finance advocate, honored with the Best National and Global Islamic Finance Activist/Proponent Award by Bank Indonesia in 2018. She was also the inaugural recipient of the Anugerah Tokoh Alumni, awarded by IIUM. She was Executive Board of Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji Indonesia (Presidential Decree 74/2017). Dr. El Islamy has over two decades of global experience, with roles including Director of Group Head Shariah and Governance and Group Legal - Islamic Banking and Capital Markets at CIMB Group, Director and Head of Legal at Capinnova Investment Bank, and positions at Kuwait Finance House Bahrain. Graduated as the Best Overall LLB student from IIUM. She is recognized for her extensive publications in various fields, including Islamic finance, and has provided advisory services to regulatory bodies and entities across multiple jurisdictions.
